Who makes the best Cam Gears?

Any opinions or first hand experience? Any have trouble?

I've done 2 sets of AEM, and love them. I've also done the skunk2 new name for skunkworks. They are great as well. See my site about the AEM's.

It makes a huge difference on the SC cars.

Also, Any reccomendations on setting's for use with the JRSC GSR? Where are yours set at?

I would not recommend the AEM's for high power applications meaning 300+, JUN cam gears are good, so are JG cam gears.

Bryan, its funny that u say that JUN's and JG's are good since, some people who owned the gears say that they slip. i would go with the STR's, skunkworks or TODA cam gears, i haven't heard anything bad about them. I asked AEM about slipping rumors about their gears, and they said that it was a batch ot ten gears that slipped and that they were recalled,so i guess they are good. if anyones interested in getting some cam gears,cams or anything, just email me.

OK, there are group buys on the STR & Skunkworks. Anyone used these or have a preference? Anyone got the STR's, they look pretty sweet. I'll have to check on AEM prices but I would still consider these also unless I hear more bad things.

My B18C1 wears AEM cam gears... and the settings are as follows: Intake - 1' retarded; Exhaust - 2' retarded.

Umm slip? I happen to know a buddie of mine that uses JUN and has used JG on his 10 second car. Do you know of any such people? He use to use STR cam gears and was taught a lesson, they chewed belts left and right, str did a big buy back. I do not know if they have since revised they're design. JG's are honda cores, just adjustable, I have never seen a JG cam gear slip, what you hear and what is true are two different things, people read too many magazines..
